2010 ended with the Cantorion having made 13 official appearances, 9 of which were during the latter half of the year. Under the commanding and expert tuition and guidance of our Musical Director, John Daniel, Cantorion progressed into a new era of musical and vocal development and to benchmark the choir’s fantastic production, Cantorion intend to record only it’s third ever CD during 2011 in preparation for launching at the National Eisteddfod at Wrexham during early August 2011.

Amidst our last 12 months’ activities was a performance at The Manchester Radisson Hotel during a conference held by TISPOL, the European Traffic Police Network. The performance was a huge success as almost 30 European countries were represented. Also included in a busy 2010 was the Cantorion’s first engagement in Caernarfon. John and the Choir are proud to have held a well received and successful concert with the people of the area and to have shared the platform with the celebrated Morbegno Mixed Choir from Italy. This concert was the first time that Tudur Evans would co-host a concert alongside our regular master of ceremonies, John Rogers-Jones. Now a regular and very popular feature of the ‘Cantorion Package’, our very own “Co-Compere” is going from strength to strength.

Another of our highlights during 2010 proved to be our trip to London to perform at the London Welsh Centre in November. This concert proved to be most successful and the audience were treated to a mixture of humour, spontaneity, quality soloists and of course, the Cantorion singing and performing with a quality of sound instantly recognisable under the baton of John Daniel.
